Education and Training

Board-certified Naperville dentist Dr. Kelsey Ladone, DMD, was born and raised in Lisle, Illinois. After attending Naperville North High School, she continued her studies at the University of Missouri, where she obtained a Bachelors of Health Sciences and Minor in Biological Sciences, Magnum Cum Laude.

During her undergraduate studies, she was actively involved in the community, serving as a leader for an organization called Project Sol and participating with Outreach360 in the Dominican Republic. She has always enjoyed mentoring and teaching others and served as microbiology teaching assistant during her time at Mizzou.

Leadership

Following her education at the University of Missouri, Dr. Kelsey Ladone attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where she excelled in and out of the classroom. She was a leader in the American Student Dental Association where she held Vice President and Treasurer positions for her school’s executive committee.

Mentor and teaching assistant

She mentored and educated younger classmen as a teaching assistant in clinical dentistry. Her training included unique dental rotations at community health clinics across the country, providing her with experience in all facets of general dentistry. She treated patients coast to coast from Maine, Seattle, Chicago, Wisconsin, and Arizona.

Awards for excellence

Her most memorable rotation was treating pediatric patients at St. Vincent DePaul in Arizona. Dr. Kelsey received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2022 and was honored with the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology Award. After graduating, Dr. Kelsey made her way back to the Chicagoland area to join her father at Ladone Family Dental and become the third generation of treating patients and families in the western suburbs.

Carrying on the Ladone Family dental legacy is a tremendous responsibility! I have always looked up to my dad and now have the opportunity to learn and work side-by-side on a daily basis.  It’s a coincidence that he named his practice “Ladone Family Dental,” as I can now help in carrying on the tradition of providing compassionate and high-quality care to our patients.

Expert Pediatric Care

Children love Dr. Kelsey, who speaks their language and treats them with the warmth and care they need. A positive experience with dentistry starts with Dr. Kelsey. She uses a “Tell-Show-Do” technique with children, helping them become comfortable with a procedure by seeing the materials and feeling them before using them. We call anesthetic "sleepy juice" and tell the patient the tooth is going to take a nap. Every step is carefully performed and explained with words like shampoo, conditioner, glue, magic blue light, raincoat, Mr. Bumpy, jelly, whistle, and so on. Dr. Ladone loves working with kids and making them feel comfortable coming to the dentist. Children respond to her caring demeanor and are not frightened or confused – a great start for a lifetime of dental health.
